Creative Movement & Introductory Levels
Creative Movement
At CDS, we hope to channel children’s natural joy of movement into a lifelong love of dance. Levels Creative 1 & Creative 2 attend one 45-minute class per week. These classes focus on the basics of dance training, such as listening to the teacher and following instructions, as well as an emphasis on developing musical understanding.

Introductory Ballet
At around five years old, students are ready for a more structured class. Pre-Primary 1, Pre-Primary 2 & Primary Levels attend one 60-minute class per week. These classes are based on ABT’s National Training Curriculum, which is designed to continue to build students’ response to music, strengthen muscles, and develop flexibility with age-appropriate progression. Students have the opportunity to perform in a year-end Studio Showcase. Additionally, Pre-Primary 2 and Primary Level students are able to participate in the school’s annual production of The Nutcracker.
