This class focuses on the male aspects of ballet to develop a good understanding of ballet technique. Boys will work on their endurance, balance, and coordination. As they progress from basic to more complex steps, boys will further develop their strength, flexibility and musicality. As well as providing a great style of exercise, this class will help boys enhance their performance skills. All boys are welcome and encouraged to perform in The Nutcracker, Spring Benefit and June Concert.

In addition to these Boys Ballet classes, we offer full scholarships to boys who enroll in our Academy Division ballet classes, ages 8-18. Dancers develop strength, coordination, and musicality while also learning to be poised and confident in their presentation. Academy Division ballet classes combine boys and girls together in class, in a structured class setting using the American Ballet Theatre Curriculum as well as Vaganova technique. We strive to support male dancers in ballet, and are happy to offer full scholarships to boys that take Academy Division ballet classes.

Partnering/Pas de Deux

Partnering, or Pas de Deux, is a type of classical ballet in which a male dancer supports, lifts, and balances a female dancer. It requires lots of strength, as well as adequate joint and skeletal development from the male dancer, and as such is only offered to teenage boys ages 13-18.
