Beginning dance at a young age builds the foundation of important life skills such as creativity, discipline, and group participation. In Creative 1, children explore the magic of movement, improve social skills and further develop self expression through dance. Classes focus on following instructions and developing musical understanding in a safe, fun, nurturing environment.

"At CDS I was taught, how to handle disappointment, to work as a team, to brush things off if they didn’t go the way you wanted, to stand up to adversity with strength and grace, to set high expectations for yourself, and to approach life with confidence."
– Julia Lawrence, former CDS student now Principal Artist at Ballet West
